Police Constable Alistair Leiper, 37, admitted three charges of attempting to engage in sexual activity in the presence of a child, one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and one count of making indecent photos of a child.
Following a raid on his home in Streatham, south London, officers found three indecent films of teenage girls on his computer.
Leiper has been suspended from duty since his arrest in August 2015, and will now be dismissed from the force.
Three Skype chat logs were found between Leiper and two 14-year-old girls from around ten months before his flat was searched.
One of the recordings which relates to the charge of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity is just under 90 minutes long.
Judge Joanna Korner said: With something as serious as this I would need, any judge would need, to know whether he is dangerous.
Im going to order a pre-sentence report purely from the point of view of whether or not he is dangerous.
There doesnt appear to be any other proposal than a sentence of imprisonment.
Leiper was released on conditional bail and will be sentenced next month at Southwark Crown Court.
A MPS spokesperson said: Alistair Leiper, 37, attached to Westminster Borough appeared at Southwark Crown Court on Friday, (February 3) where he pleaded guilty to three counts of attempting to engage in sexual activity in the presence of a child and one count of causing/inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
The offences relate to two teenage girls. He will be sentenced at the same court on March 3.
