Mr Ball was elected in November 2012. He is the eighth PCC, and first independent, to confirm he will not be seeking re-election.
In a statement Mr Ball said he plans to spend more time with his children and grandchildren.
It has been my huge privilege and honour to serve the public of Warwickshire for the past three years, so this has not been an easy decision for me to make, he said.
With over six months to go until the next PCC elections there is still plenty more to be done and I will not be easing up until I am across the finishing line.
With the forthcoming consultation about the police precept looming I will now be able to focus solely on what will be good for Warwickshire, without having to concern myself about my own electoral prospects.
So far six of the PCCs to declare they will not seek re-election are Conservative and one is Labour.
The other PCCs not standing are Sir Clive Loader (Leicestershire), Nick Alston (Essex), Alan Charles (Derbyshire), Tony Hogg (Devon and Cornwall), Richard Rhodes (Cumbria), Adam Simmonds (Northamptonshire) and Sir Graham Bright (Cambridgeshire).
