A new fabric tag has been launched that is designed to absorb underarm body odour.

Derived from the special materials used in chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) masks and filters, the small tag can be either ironed or sewn inside the sleeves of a garment near the armpits.

The maker of the tags, Odegon Technologies Ltd, is looking for police officers to trial the tags. It will give a free pack of three pairs to the first 100 officers who email their details and will be willing to complete a simple questionnaire after wearing them – info@odegon.com.

Steve Rawlings, a director of Odegon Technologies, explained: “We have already tried these DeOdorTags with a few officers and all agreed how well they eliminated underarm body odour. They also were surprised that you cannot see or feel them when in place.

“Odegon DeOdorTags capture the odour molecules and they are not released until the garment is cleaned.

“We want to conduct this trial with police officers up and down the country, both male and female, and hope that enough will want to try out the tags completely free of charge and answer a simple questionnaire after wearing for a week or two.”

The normal price for the tags is £11.95 for three pairs, including P&P.

Contact info@odegon.com stating you are a police officer interested in trying out the tags.
