A rare sword, which has been used by the Gurkhas since medieval times, will go on display at Manchesters museum after being handed into police.
The sword, which is known as a Kukri, was dropped off at Wythenshawe police station by a local resident.
Malcolm Chittim bought the sword as a reminder of the time he spent in the Army. He no longer wanted the sword inside his house but was worried about it getting into the wrong hands.
