Showcase for 1930s policing

A new police museum has opened in Lancaster showcasing police memorabilia from the 1930s onwards.

A new police museum has opened in Lancaster showcasing police memorabilia from the 1930s onwards.

The items on display will include police uniforms, batons, canes and helmets. There will also be a feature on Buck Ruxton, an infamous murderer from Lancaster who killed his lover and maid in the 1930s.

The museum is based in the police contact centre at Lancaster which is also used for drop-in sessions.
