Police in the Scottish Borders, in partnership with Scottish Borders Council, have taken delivery of a new mobile CCTV unit to help combat anti-social behaviour in Scottish Borders.

The unit has been funded through the Scottish Borders Safer Communities Partnership and will be installed in a Lothian and Borders Police van for use across the area.

Chief Inspector Kenny Simpson, from the safer communities team, said: “Mobile CCTV units have worked successfully in other areas of the country and provide the safer communities team with a new method of combating anti-social behaviour and crime.”
