Kent Police officer questioned of suspicion of misconduct

A female officer from Kent Police has been interviewed on suspicion of misconduct after claiming she was beaten unconscious during a routine stop and check.

A female officer from Kent Police has been interviewed on suspicion of misconduct after claiming she was beaten unconscious during a routine stop and check.

PC Fran Croucher has been suspended while inquiries take place into her claims that she was kicked and beaten during the routine search of a van which had a missing rear number plate.

Kent Police appealed for information after the alleged incident in Crockenhill Road, Swanley, on 14 January.

In a statement, the police force said: “An officer has been interviewed by the force`s professional standards department as part of an investigation into an alleged assault.

“The officer is suspended from duty while the investigation continues, and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

“No further comment will be made while the investigation continues.”
