Fraud charges brought

Former Deputy Mayor of London, Ian Clement, has been charged with five offences of fraud.

Former Deputy Mayor of London, Ian Clement, has been charged with five offences of fraud.
Mr Clement, who was fired in June for misuse of expenses, faces charges under sections 1 and 2 of the Fraud Act. The referral was made to police by the Greater London Authority on June 24 and the charge was placed after consideration by the Crown Prosecution Service.
He was due to appear at City of Westminster MagistratesÂ’ Court on Tuesday (September 8).
